Peer Review Policy

The Linguistics Journal follows a rigorous peer review policy to ensure the quality and reliability of published research. The peer review process is a cornerstone of ensuring the scientific integrity of our research.

  1. Double-Blind Peer Review: The journal follows a double-blind peer review system, meaning that the identities of the authors are hidden from the reviewers, and the identities of the reviewers are hidden from the authors. This policy aims to ensure the highest degree of objectivity and fairness in the evaluation of research, as reviewers focus solely on the quality of the scientific content, free from any potential biases.

  2. Selection of Reviewers: The editorial board relies on a broad network of distinguished experts and academics in the fields of languages, translation, and related disciplines. Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise, their specific specialization that matches the research topic, and their academic record. The journal always seeks to hire highly qualified reviewers to ensure a comprehensive and in-depth evaluation.

  4. Confidentiality of the Arbitration Process: All information related to the arbitration process is treated with the strictest confidence. Arbitrators may not share research information or details with any third party and must treat the research as confidential until it is published.

  5. Review Decisions: After receiving the reviewers' reports, the editorial board makes the final decision regarding the publication of the research. The decision can be: accept the research without revisions, accept it with minor revisions, accept it with substantial revisions and re-review, or reject the research. The editorial board informs the author of the review decision and provides them with the reviewers' reports (anonymously) to assist them in improving their research.
